On July 30, 2019 we will be hosting a children’s program in the Union School.  This is a one room school house that was moved to the Museum site from south of Carlyle.  Children will be able to sit in desks from country one room school houses and participate in “classes”.  These will have the children writing on slates, looking at old textbooks, a spelling bee, choral reading and a discussion on what it was like to attend a one room school house.  We will play games outdoors and a picnic lunch. (weather permitting)
